The program is an extension of the innovation and creativity programs at the CCSU Institute of Technology and Business Development (ITBD).
Participants will be introduced to multiple technologies used in production, including:
- Elements of Advanced Manufacturing for your company
- Advanced Manufacturing Materials
- Defining areas for automation
- Robotics and Controllers
- SolidWorks and 3D Printing
- Part and Tooling Design
Participants will learn the value of incorporating these technologies into today’s manufacturing environment. The course is a hybrid of classroom (13 hours) and online learning (19 hours) using ToolingU modules.
Campus labs and the Education and Innovation Center at the CCSU downtown campus will be used to explore automation, computerized design, and operational systems. Utilization of advanced manufacturing techniques will help participants to begin the journey for improving processes, services, or products to achieve breakthroughs and innovation in markets. The coursework will include in-class exercises, real-life case studies, and practice with tools, which are required to achieve certification.
All classes take place at the CCSU campus at 185 Main Street, New Britain, CT from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
