To help accelerate the growth of Connecticut-based early-stage ventures, CTNext has created a mentoring network of experienced entrepreneurs, executives, and investors.
Companies interested in applying for a mentor must have a product or digital service already launched or in test, a significant value proposition, a large market opportunity and a strong management team. Companies with strong and diverse management teams are encouraged to apply.
The 2020 Mentor Network will offer the same access to top-level managerial and specialized expert professionals (e.g., finance, marketing, operations) as last year’s program with two new benefits:
- Companies particpating in the Winter 2020 cohort can qualify for access to capital from a new funding program designed for the Mentor Network.
- Members of the cohort will also be eligible for support from an executive-in-residence (EIR) program being launched by CTNext in coordination with Connecticut Innovations, which could supply specialized expertise on an ongoing basis.
Mentors will work with these select entrepreneurs to scale their business by validating their long-term visions, customer acquisition, and capital-raising strategies. Companies will have the opportunity to gain objective feedback and guidance on growing a company; learn more about other resources, tools and programming; and network and become part of a community of like-minded people.
