MakerspaceCT Fall Into Place Digital Benefit
WHEN: Friday, October 16 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
WHAT: Support Hartford’s makerspace with raffles, trivia, and exciting demos of cool stuff made in downtown Hartford. The event will be raising funds for a new, high-powered laser cutter to enable MakerspaceCT to better serve its membership and the community.
Connecticut Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CCEI) Wolff New Venture Competition
WHEN: Monday, October 19 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
WHAT: Live pitches from five of the top startups chosen from the CCEI Summer Fellowship program based on venture viability and value added to the market. A panel of venture experts decides which team will be selected for the Wolff Prize and the $20,000 of startup funding accompanying it.
Techstars Startup Week Hartford
WHEN: October 19 — 23
WHAT: The weeklong event celebrates the region’s innovation and startup ecosystem and provides an opportunity to get to know the community and learn from and connect with local entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, investors, and other innovation leaders.
The Hartford Rib Off One Week of BBQ
WHEN: October 19 – 25 at participating Hartford-area restaurants
WHAT: Connecticut chefs, bartenders, BBQ pit masters, and restaurateurs will serve BBQ-inspired dishes and drinks with 50% of the proceeds going to Hartford Rib Off Inc.
Pitch Perfect: A Quick Introduction to CT’s Small Business Financing Options
WHEN: October 21
WHAT: A fast-paced session where funders have 10 minutes to introduce their organization, key programs & products, and a success story, followed by Q&A on CT’s small business financing ecosystem.

WHEN: November 5
WHAT: Learn about trademark use and enforcement on the Internet as it relates to domain names, social media platforms, e-commerce websites, and internet searches. We will also cover how you can properly use intellectual property owned by others on your website.
